Hello all! The Dollars secret phrase timed poll is now over! Thank you to all who participated!

With the thread being posted 3 times, and permasaged twice, the final results are:
CHROME: 47
Akira: 21

Can't believe so many participated!

These phrases were created in the name of the Dollars, to find fellow REAL Dollars through a phrase only REAL Dollars would know, in the outside world and online.

The phrase that is in favor is:
Dollar: "What's the world like to you?" Dollar being asked: "The world isn't as bad as you think."

With Akira's phrase, Dollar:"A Dollar's color is green.." Dollar phrase is being stated to: "But we are invisible." (colorless is also an acceptable answer) coming in second.

In all honesty, because we are a group with no rules, there isn't any way that this could become official unless the group accepts it. Although my phrase won, there's nothing saying that my phrase is now the groups phrase, or that Akira's isn't accepted- if someone approached me saying Akira's phrase, I'd definitely understand it! Everything is up to US, whether to put these phrases into motion or not is entirely up to the group, up to the individual.

If you guys want to use BOTH phrases, say so in a reply!

Each phrase is also accompanied by a wave/hand gesture. If you need or want to grab that person's attention, wave with the sign language for "D", similar to the A-OK gesture (All fingers except the index touching the thumb, and the index finger pointed outwards) and then ask the secret phrase. (As suggested by Raziel and Lysander)

This hand gesture is obviously (like everything else in this thread) optional, many people replied saying this could be seen as a "gang" sign in the public eye, and I believe so too, but I could still see myself using it if I knew that the person was a Dollar in advance.

For extra clarification or security, prod at them a little bit: ask about the Dollars website, their Dollars email, etc.

If that person understands the hand gesture, knows the secret phrase and basically passes all tests, you have just met a fellow Dollar!

I completely agree. That's true. There's no way you can put a clear line between who is an actual Dollar or not, because it basically takes and means nothing to be a Dollar (well, ultimately unless you make it meaningful yourself).

But what I think Chrome meant was this community right here and not the entirety of Dollars (well, not every Dollar community can read the poll thread haha).

But yes, ultimately there is not a ton of use for it...just a quirk for THIS particular Dollar community (as there are other Dollars community).

Personally i like chromes better because it seems more posotive and represents the dollars as a.whole better . We are here to show the ligbt in the darkness.

I personally prefer CHROME's, but Ima use both. Though I do think it should be as simple as: "Are you in the Dollars?", followed by, "Yeah". But, anyway, both phrases are great!

I'll be keeping my ears out for both of them, I'd most likely use CHROME's phrase though because saying something like "but we are invisible" could be sketchy depending on where you are.

It's a random phrase that only around 10 people will know by heart and even the people that created it will forget in a month...

This is just extra security! I'm seeing this being used in the future especially with Sigiled Hawk's awesome map he's been posting about and plus I'm sure this can be used during events like >>31 said he was gonna do.

Yes this awesome map is on main and i have made backup copies in case its deleted. But with map you have contact info and with said contact info you simply state what vendor you will meet them at. Your logic is invalid. Lmao, im being serious. I still just find this funny cuz its being taken seriously. And with the contact info, it helps with legitimacy, lets see...its their personal email, thats one. Two they can tell you their name. Three they can say where they are at, what they are wearing, how tall they are, what color hair, the color of their eyes, and dimples on their ass. I mean seriously...i think the phrase is better guys.

Two examples.

1.) You are at a concert, convention, or walking around with some recognizable Dollars merch, or 2.) maybe you posted about it on here and some other Dollars said they're around! 1.) Someone approaches YOU saying something like "Hey, you're in the Dollars too?" Can you seriously trust this guy? You need some failsafe. Hmm, maybe a phrase only Dollars of this site would know? 2.) They put their description on here and you go out to look for them. You think you might see them but are unsure, as there are many people walking around with similar clothing, or you don't want to embarrass yourself and get it wrong. He/She looks your way and you quickly grab their attention. By waving the hand signal for "d" from a far distance or ask the phrase face-to-face, and he understands it, this is that Dollar! It's pretty easy to lie and say "yeah I'm that guy.", so this phrase and hand signal are just extra security. EX-TRA SE-CUR-I-TY!

In my opinion THAT'S when I'd use the phrase and handsign; events.

Sigiled's map can definitely be used to find fellow Dollars, but at the same time, it's not the only way people can and will meet up.

I must say that the phrase is awesome, for some reason it has a very special meaning for me. I will be glad to use it!

Our "phrase" idea is something completely different. And, as you can see, this thread has withstood the test of time. I have been inactive for months, yet I easily found the thread again.

Everyone's always complaining about how loose we are, but everytime someone comes up with an idea, it immediately gets dismissed by others. Well, I'm not giving up.

I love this. It has a lot of depth to it
