I don't know how many others would be interested in doing this, but I just wanted to share my idea with all of you.

School can be stressful and difficult no matter what grade you're in, so why not do something to help someone who's struggling with a subject that you yourself are very good at? I just offered to tutor a good friend of mine, who lives in Florida (I'm in Pennsylvania) and who I've known for three years, via skype. She's so happy and relieved because she's not doing very well and her parents haven't been much help, instead they've only made her more stressed, so much so she was to the point where she was ready to cry. That's why I asked her what subject she was having the most trouble with and she said history, which that just so happens to be one of my best; so, I offered to be her personal tutor. It feels so good knowing that I've already made her feel better and that in a few days once I finish working out our lesson plans, I'm going to be helping her even more. :)
So basically, in short, try to make school a little less stressful by helping those who are struggling with it get their grades up. I know this probably sounds stupid, but trust me, there are a lot of people who would appreciate a good friend's help.

Mission accepted--helping others would increase my understanding of the subject and likely improve my grades, so that's a plus for helping other people.

I'm actually having some trouble in AP Biology if someone's good at teaching that.

What do we need this information for?
As some of you may already know, we try to pair up tutors and students that complement each other best, which means that we have to take a few factors into consideration

I agree on your ideas. I'm planning to do the same too with my classmates. I've got to help them since they will be demoted if they didn't reach the required grade. We will be shuffled with the other section next year but at least i just thought that they wouldn't want to be demoted.

Another way people could help is by sharing their notes. Some people may not get the best notes from their teachers and I'm sure better notes would help them get their heads around the topic:)

During finals one year a friend on mine was panicking because the science final review was very confusing for her and science was one of her worst subjects. I helped her out in the little time that we had, and I think it calmed her down a little. Tutoring can really help relieve stress, especially if its a friend helping you out.

I make an google docs that anyone can use or log on to..
The purpose of this is so we can all share our notes or whatever with each other. We could also ask for help faster rather than trying to email people and waiting for a response + more people would be able to help (that is if people actually use this) Another reason I think this is a good idea is if people stop checking the email the old notes will still be able to help others.

Well it seems interestiing but, because we are people from all other the world, we are not learning some subjects the same way, i mean for exemple History.
