Call for Knitters and Crocheters! (8)

1 Name: Xerxes Break : 2014-12-10 23:24 ID:FsbOWHqW [Del]

As a beginning knitter, I was hunting for some patterns and found these great charities that would love donations of knitted and crocheted clothing, toys, ect.

These charities give these items to those in need- children, infants, the homeless, and people who are just down on their luck and need a little help! Knitting and crocheting is fun, productive, and relaxing to do, so why not create some things that will make someone else very happy that someone out there cares about them, a complete stranger?

I also had the idea that it would be a nice thing to knit some scarves and hats for the winter so that if I see anyone who looks like they could use a little warmth, I could give one to them.

I love this idea! I've been knitting a ton of hats and such for my friends as Christmas gifts, so I'll definitely make some extras to donate!

This is a great idea! I would do this but I am busy crocheting Christmas gifts for another charity called Saving Innocence. (Here's a link to the website if anyone is interested http://www.savinginnocence.org/ )

I love crochet baby beanies! They are easy for beginners and are a must for Hospitals in the winter time. Any home-made donations are always welcome from anywhere I've gone :)
