The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a good charity and is one of the least reaserched because of poor funding.

I have aspergers syndrome, and as such am eligible for the special Olympics. My school is for MD ( Mentally Disabled) and ED ( emotionally disturbed) Since we are considered a " special ed" school even kids who aren't disabled can enter it. IT pisses me the fuck off because they aren't disabled, and thus are taking away the chance to win for kids who are really disabled. I mean really come on its like dude the special Olympics. If you win since your not disabled you look like a huge douche and if you lose you lost the special Olympics and theres nothing wrong with you, so you made yourself look Stupid. I have aspergers and can enter too, but I am not disabled, far from it, my aspergers does not hinder any of my functions, in fact my teachers say it helps me be better at a lot of things others are not. FTW

I was reminded of this one specific charity recently after a conversation with one of my friends. it's called 20/20/20, which aims to give 20/20 vision to 20 million blind children and adults- Yeah, you read that right. They are performing surgeries on blind people to give them sight for the first time... Pretty amazing, if you ask me. They operate in some of the worlds poorest countries, and do the $300 operations free since the people can't afford it. As someone who has had some really close, and really cool, blind friends before, this entire operation really means a lot.
