Some of my old(er) poems! (1)

I know the rhythm is bad, but it's kinda supposed to be like that; I can't tell you why because it's something only I know, and that gives me purpose. So, here you go!
A burn, a mark
An eternal scar
From blazing blue with heat
To cool grey ashes
A gust of wind
From outside
Can destroy it

He is the wood
I am the raging fire
He keeps me ablaze
And I can only wait until I burn him into nothingness

I could save him...
Extinguish my own flame
Allow him to grow anew
Watching from the ground
As he reaches further into the sky

So, we are stuck in this endless cycle
Burn him into ashes
Watch as he regrows
And then restart the flames

We're both killing ourselves
To keep the other alive.
"
Friendship
Something I never thought myself of having,
Something as unique-less as love
Is something I always longed for
Until I got a friend.

At first, we would hang out everywhere.
At lunch, in the halls, after school, weekends.
Everything was amazing.
Until she saw the real me.

Friendship is like a thin layer of ice.
Ice on a small pond in March
The weight of my problems broke the ice.
Now I'm alone and I just keep sinking.
"
Mahogany light, shining down
Through a sliver in the sky
Escaping from the dull sky
Shining on her face

Though her face then
Was smiling, illuminated
By a gorgeous glow
The clouds would soon move
And the smile would fade

I'm afraid that the sun no longer
Is part of this world
I'm afraid that her smile no longer
Is part of this world

My dearest love
The light of my life
Has faded
Because I am the clouds
That covered her mahogany light
"
The sweet, sweet lull of the ocean
Rocking me,
Rocking you,
Rocking all of us
In this whirlpool of life.

Normally, I'd be on the raft,
Spinning without control
Unable to slow down
And I'd capsize

But you're here
You're weighing down the other side of the raft
You're keeping me from swirling
Into the endless whirlpool
That is life.

You, alone, calm the seas
You allow the tide to slowly raise
And when it falls, I am there
Witnessing you change the world.

Thank you,
Jason.
"
Sometimes it's best to be lonely.
There's one less person I have to worry about.
But, there's no one to worry about me.
An endless paradox
I want to be out of.
"
You were here when I wrote this,
But you weren't when I was done.
"
It is white and red
To be more specific, it's striped
It's also tied around her hair
This ribbon belongs to the girl
Who holds me to life.

Sometimes I can't hear a sound
This noisy world drains it all out
But easily I can hear a voice
This voice belongs to the girl
Who holds me to life.

Falling,
Falling,
Tumbling down
"
The night, headlights calling me
Dew dripping, no other soul to see
The asphalt below screams my name
We make eye contact, it sets my mind aflame
Hands gripping tight against the fence
The grip loosens, from one that was once tense
Birds of the night fly overhead
If I soar with them, will I end up dead?
A true thinkable thought
But I was taught to ignore my head
So I spread my wings
And jump without a drop of dread
"
