i am writing a book and the problem is I don't know how to know my character. I know many things and a lot about her hobbies and the general stuff but i have no idea on how to know my characters soul (creepy i know) if you have any ideas please share.

Maybe it can reflect on your life. Try to think of events that changed you or made you. Try to think of your thinking process and apply it on your character and understand how to create personalities for things. Meet lots of people and understand their personality. Think of peoples hobbies and why they do them. Remember their how high morals are because it can effect their opinions

Perhaps you can create scenarios and think on how your character would react into the situation. People tend to come into their own conclusions about others that way in the first place in life. Ask yourself then why they did what they did. What's their background? Their relationships with other people? Is there something of their last that still influences them?
