So recently, John Green's book (writter of The Fault in our Stars)has had his book Paper Towns turned into a movie which I found very disappointing because the book was so psychological and left you feeling sorry for the protagonist. Did anyone else read the book and then watched the movie? (BTW no it belongs in literature).
(for those who don't know what it is)
The story talks about a boy named Quentin who is on the hunt for Margo who goes missing after a misadventure the night before her disappearance. She leaves traces for the protagonist to try and decipher and so our story begins.

If you never read it, I recommend it only if you can put up with the teenage drama. It's not fault in our stars sad, but it'll move you. and if people post things on here be warned that I am expecting people to put spoils here cause this needs to be discussed at least until the week hype dies.

I've never read any book by John Green purely because everyone was so into him last year (and still now) and it annoyed me. Seeing as everyone was so into him, I associated him with giving impressionablity and I hate anything impressionable.

lol probs not the type of reply you were hoping for. Sor sor.

No that's a great response and I can get where you're coming from. I'll admit that I fell under the spectrum of your category but mainly because I liked the idea of cancer loving kids because it was something new to me. But that was just one book. I'll admit that this book isn't that great and it will probably be another "amazing" novel for all the "hardcore" fans who just got into him recently, but if we can disassociate the author from the book you'd can at least grasp the fact that it wasn't a bad book. but like i said I get where you're coming from and your opinion is just as good on this post, lol.
