The cafe plays "Let Her Go" softly in the background for what feels like the millionth time. My paper cup has long been empty, and I start to feel a tinge of coldness on my fingertips.

Light rained through the high wall window like a holy array.

All sight is impaired from the soft falls of white and blue; its carefree imitation of snowfall.

I am elated.

Our vision is blurred more and more by the flurry of packing peanut tossed in the air. The sound of the memory fades with each passing year. Only echoes of my brother and mother remains; their laughter enveloping the faint "crack" and "squish" of the foam we tore and threw at each other.
