I slowly reached my hand out to touch the old school. This school's been around since I was born, 16 years ago. The building's old now, it looks so fragile. But there was a rumor going around lately.

The principle decided to rebuild a lot of the school structure. "16 years isn't long enough for it to need rebuilding again" I thought.
That wasn't the rumor however. According to my seniors, several ghosts had appeared, haunting certain parts of the school.

"As if anyone would believe that," I furrowed my eyebrows. My slender pale fingers traced the chalk drawings the freshmen drew at the beginning of the year. This school's too peaceful to be haunted. "Do you doubt us?" a voice of a female child whispered in my ear, making my head shot up and turn around to face the speaker.

I scream loudly for the entire class to hear us, they look at me as if I'm crazy. I chuckle like it was just a joke then look around for the voice that suddenly whispered in my ear.

"Gen!" I heard someone put their hand on my shoulder, making me flinch. I turned around to see my best friend, Liz. "Yeah?" I answered casually. "What was that about, Imogen?" she narrowed her eyes on me, watching my every movement like a hawk.

"er--- It was nothing" I give her a small smile, hesitantly laughing if off as i lied to my best friend. " I thought there was one of those huge spiders on me." I tried to cover my embarrassment, but Liz wasnt buying it. "come on, Gen... I know that somethings up with you. This isnt about the rumors, is it?"

"Of course not!" I reply heatedly.
"Really? You're not fooling anyone, Gen. You REALLY need to stop watching those horror flicks through the night, playing those "surival-horror" games in dark rooms with the lights off and your headphones on, reading those loathsome b-"

"Yeah, your right" I interrupted her, "I just thought I saw something. No big deal"
"I knew it" She shook her head and went back to her sit. I looked back to the chalk drawings, one small one stood out. Was that there? I thought. It was a..

dust mark, but it was too opacent. Before I could look closer, Liz jumped in the way and shouted in my face. " Imogen! You're making a sour face!" People started to notice, so I just made my best poker face and replied. "There's a lizard on your hair."

She immediately screamed and ruffled her hair; she was extremely terrified of lizards. I held back a laugh as I swiftly ran away. My legs carried me to a playground-the school's playground that wasn't that far away from the actual school. My mind thought back to the little girl's voice as I turned around and saw-

a woman standing alone beside a big tree at the central of the playground. I was hesitated at first, but then I approached her and ask,"Hello, what are you doing here?"
That woman didn't reply, but looking at her uniform, she must be one of the senior. "I'm paying a visit to the descendant." She suddenly said which surprised me. I shot a look to her but she just smile at me before-
