Okay.. So I'm writing for a thing called NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and I have a major problem... I've written 10,000 words and now I have terrible writers block.

Anyone have any tips on how to get over writers block?

Also NaNoWriMo is really really amazing, you should do it!

Thanks!!

watch movies. read books. search for inspiration.

or, as i often times do, just wait it out.

Hey ButterCakes, one interesting technique I use is to repeat the story to yourself adding in 'but', 'therefore' or 'when' between the events you have created. When you get to the part you are stuck with you try fitting these words in and let your mind do the rest.
Hope I helped. :)

What I do is go back over a chunk of what I've already done and read it, edit it and then try letting my mind knit together something that goes after it. This is usually where I do most of my re-writing, and it actually does help, it refreshes the exact details of the narrative in my mind and gives me new ideas. Might not work for you, but it certainly helps me, so I'd suggest giving it a try ^^
