Hi, Have you guys read the Skulduggery Pleasant series? Its by the evil Irishman Derek Landy who is just about to finish the series with his 9th book (NOT including novellas and other short stories)
Its a really awesome series about this girl who meets her uncles friend at his funeral. Turns out the friend is a skeleton (Skulduggery pleasant himself)and has been dead for 400 years!
Now they work together as a detective team to solve a bunch of magical cases.
Its awesome! The book is so full of sarcastic sass that you can see the fingers snapping in a z formation!
And the best part is, all the badass characters are women!
Valkyrie/Stephanie the main character can kick butt at 12
Tanith low the Londoner can freaking run up wals and has mad sword skills, she even has her own seperate book (which wont Make sense unless you read the other books before it)
China Sorrows' power is being so beautiful that everybody does what she says

Im recommending it because its a book I'm really passionate aboit and have been reading for years.
