I do not like straight teeth, never have never will. If you asked me why I don't quite know the reason, every one tells me to like them, the dentists tell me I need to get braces every time I go to their office but there's never a medical reason. Why do people convince other people to do things? Why do I refuse or accept them? Is it that the dentist is personally concerned with how straight my teeth are? When I leave the office will he still wish I would have said yes? When the next patient arrives will he be convinced? Will he say yes? Will he say no? No one really knows. But maybe that's not important. Maybe the decision is all that really matters. Maybe when I get home my face will explode. Maybe the woman at the front desk will choke on a business card. Maybe the dentist doesn't care about me or my teeth. Maybe he sings in the shower when he gets home. Maybe he drives 20 miles to work every day. Maybe his wife is sleeping with another woman. but when I lay in his dental chair, and he looks at my teeth, some one told him he should care.
