>>3 Shittiest series ever. I've read some pretty bad crap, but I couldn't even finish that one. I'd probably think Twilight was better, if I ever read it, but I'm not a masochist. I hate Twilight, but I hate House of Night more.

I haven't read any other vampire books, because books are expensive and I'm poor, but I'll keep this thread in mind if I ever get to it. Although, Dracula is good. If you can't read it, then you IQ is too low for me to care about your opinions anyways.

>>10 HOLY SHIT! WICKED LOVELY! HOW THE FUCK CAN I FORGET THAT PIECE OF ORGASM!

I don't think it's a vampire book, but it's still orgasmic. Read it or die!

Mortal instruments isn't bad, I just don't consider it a "vampire book". Sure, there are vampires in it, so I guess it counts. I wasn't impressed, but it could be worse. I just get sick of a book series were I never know what the fuck is really going on.

>>9 You're completely titled to your opinion. I know people who read things that I consider "crappy". Being someone who's hoping to write their own series, I'm kind of picky when reading something. It also come from be RPing as well as what I just told >>10. I get sick of not knowing what the fuck is going on. I'm also annoyed that the main character can't pick a fucking guy, but that's my opinion. Love what you love, it's better than not reading at all. I'm just not too big on romance based series.

I know, the purpose of this thread isn't for me to review books people have suggested, but maybe my opinion will do some good?

My Ex enjoyed the Dhampir series. I felt it was written in a way that might appeal to women more than men, but give it a try if you're curious.

Cirque Du Freak. I read it in the 7th grade and it's still one of my favorites.

I liked the Vladimir Todd books...of course they might be childish to some people, but I suggest giving the a try.

I would suggest Vampire Academy, Vampire Kisses (novels or manga, both are great), Chronicles of Vladimir Todd, Cirque Du Freak, or Bloodlines (though Bloodlines is a spinoff series of the Vampire Academy series). c:

>>16 Borrowed it from my friend and it was the best vampire series ever! Though I only read 3... but it was still good!
If you want a real vampire, then go see Alucard from the Hellsing manga. THAT is a vamp. (However, I've never read Hellsing before so I don't really know much. :P)

Fred the movie 2

Cirque Du Freak by Darren Shan. It's fill with blood, guts, battles, but not much goey goey love crap. The first book is called Living Nightmare--they have a manga version of Cirqu Du Freak too.

I read trueblood. I know it easily gets grouped in with Twilight as nothing more than a silly teen romance books but it really has some great characters, great plot and the story build is amazing. Every book is a story on itself with a spectacular and shocking finale but is still one series of events that follows each other through several years. (Sort of like Harry Potter but more grown up)

I really recommend it. Especially the fourth and fifth one are amazing!!

(And the TV show sucks)
