The Forgotten One Trilogy is something I've been working on for several years. The trilogy centers around Cilia, who is a vampire of the Aristocracy. The Aristocracy controls the majority of human, demon, and vampire society alike. Cilia is a vampire with a very striking and unrealistic appearance - she has white hair, white eyelashes, tan skin, and heterochromatic eyes. She suffers from frequent illness and, more importantly, amnesia.
Cilia is known to be generally emotionless, yet ruthless once she sees blood. She does what she is told like an obedient doll, but once she gets into kill mode, she does not differentiate between humans and vampires. Anything with a good scent is hers for the taking. Her older brother, Nicholas (Nick), is equally ruthless, and he is the only one she will submit to in this state. The two are inseparable; they have a somewhat improper relationship, as well, although Cilia is less into it than Nick.
Zachary (Zack) is the younger brother of the two. Any time that Nick is away, Cilia sits in her room doing nothing. So, Zack often drags her into mischief. He is the only one who doesn't know what Cilia really is.
Because of her frequent amnesiatic fits, she was always in a state of confusion. Her lack of emotions is most likely because of that. She doesn't know her past nor most of her present. Nor does she know about The Forgotten One. That is, of course, until the crow cawks. Each time, the crow lures her to His letters. Each time, she remembers more and more. She puts the letters in a secret compartment and then passes out again, waking up with no recollection of the event.
The Aristocracy is always on pins and needles when Cilia blanks out, for it only happens the few times she is away from Nick, who is in charge of taking care of her. The Adamas family, which is a pure blood family and leads the Aristocracy, is always asking after Cilia. However, they are far from mentally stable; pure blood comes at a price.
But what will happen when someone finds the letters? What is so important about Cilia's past? When the Emeralds--the family which Cilia was part of as she lived with Nick, Zack, and their parents--take a trip to the Adamas residence, everything changes.
^ That's the plot of the first book,
Cilia's Fangs. There are also a lot of dramatic fillers that give more perspective into Cilia's mental state and abilities. My trilogy follows a very different idea of vampires. The basics are still the same, but where they were derived from is much different. That, of course, is not found out until much later in the trilogy.
