Okay so I was wondering who hear has read any of the original Grimms' Fairy Tales? I was able to read a collection of them and they are interesting in a way. Reading them was enjoyable and it was also a little fun to think about how some of these stories are retold or how there are even others that don't seem to have been retold. Anyway if you have read any of the original Grimms' Fairy Tales do you have a favorite? For me I don't think I'd be able to decide for most were enjoyable to read.

I'm actually a blood relative to the dude that made these, but I haven't read them.

there are whole sites dedicated to the grimm brothers! Disney basically stole them all and did a little bit of editing...

>>3, a little bit? Hell no, they raped those suckers and shot 'em to boot.
I own a collection of Grimm's Fairy Tales and I love them. Unlike the sappy, lovey-dovey, crap they pass off as fairy tales now those things are pleasantly dark. They were made to scare little children into submission. And kids learned their lessons (i.e. don't talk to strangers). Why can't people write stuff like this now? Oh yeah, they want to shelter their widdle babies. Anyway, I love these stories.

Although I will admit to the major changes that were made in film versions of the Fairy Tales(especially with Disney), I honestly don't think they're bad. Yes I know the originals are dark and a bit more....mature...but the retellings aren't so bad either. And by the end of the day they're fairy tales meant for children.
