Hi there and welcome to the Dollars! If you want to meet people with similar interests, be sure to check the different sections of the site using the links on the left side of the page!
There's not a great deal to introduce you to, but I recommend checking out the Welcome Guide For All New Dollars thread which can be found on this page (simply scroll up or down until you can see it), and if you really want to be safe, click the About link on the top of the page and read through that.
