I've been searching for a while, and this is not the first Dollars site, that I've seen, however, it does look legit, I was wondering whether this site is the closest to the one in the anime when it comes to looks and functionality :) , thanks

In the anime, it was basically just a chatroom. This is a BBS though, and we link to the chatroom of a non-affiliated chatsite. That chatsite is just like the one in the anime, but it doesn't have a private messaging system implemented.
As for this website.. It's organized and we have boards in which you can talk about almost anything. You'll have to see for yourself if this is the right Dollars site for you :D or whatever. When you talk about anonymity, everyone is shy in the beginning, but as we get to know one another it's normal for people to show each other their pictures and share information with them (not necessarily their home address, mind you). The website also doesn't require you to make an account, it reads IP addresses instead. Although you can make a tripcode.
I'd say unless you act retarded or out of hand, we'll be pretty nice to you. We have a great community here. If you chose to stick around, HAVE FUNNNN~ Don't forget to read the FAQ.
One more thing, please remember that Dollars-BBS is not a fansite. Althought a large portion of us know what anime and manga are, we do have members that don't.
