So, I'm a very boring person who has time on my hands - not too much, but whatever... Saw Durarara, and assumed someone on this earth just had to create a website for it. Sure enough, they have, so here I am.
I'm just curious about weather or not something like this could actually work in reality.

Keep in mind that while Durarara was the inspiration for the site, it's taken on its own life unrelated to anime as well. We don't try to disassociate from Anime, since we do have and anime and manga board, but we try not to associate ourselves as a fansite either.
It does, in fact, work in reality, depending on what you mean by that. Do we function as an anonymous community? Of course. Do we have members meeting in different areas across the globe? Sometimes. Do we have community-wide 'missions', that may or may not be philanthropic in nature? Yes.
There's something for everyone here, really. Make sure you read the FAQ and Board Descriptions thread on Main to get a better feel for the site, such as where to post things and other basic things involving site organization.
