Like, when you see games made with id Tech 1, it's fuckin' amazing. Doom, Total Chaos, Lycanthorn, etc, all beautiful games. Quake, on the other hand, looks weird and dated. Why is that.

because there is the magnificiant feature of having less feature in id tech 2 like directimput for xbox and xinput so ya see the is also less feature in the more advanced program

Yeah, I mean, ACS is absolutely incredible and allows to do really nice stuff. Speaking of features, even if it's true that networking would allow some fucky shit, it would be kinda useful to be able to have some sort of weather-controlled events in-game to make some Animal Crossing-type shit.
