Because no one had made it yet, I'm going to take this golden chance! You see, I've never made any 'official' thread like this before so this is actually the first time for me.
Now allow me to introduce you to Azur Lane! One of those gacha games on mobile, what pulled me to the game is surely the waifus they're offering. But what kept me going? The story of course!
Their approach on telling the stories is rather jumbled up and inconvenient for the players, so you need to take your time participating on numerous events before your 'Unlocked Memories' were large enough to connect each of the dots.
In fact, a lot of players didn't even realize there was a story to begin with.
Now excuse me, as I left this thread here and update it whenever I feel like it.

Sakura Empire had been developing the µ-rigging, or Muse System for short. Akagi had Akashi help her conduct an experiment to the new rigging system, by forming a group of randomly selected ship from different factions to equip these new weaponry and testing how far can they push the limits.

But of course, it was not the ship that was threatened by the Sirens' song, just the sailors on the ship.
If they really cared about protecting the ship, wouldn't it have been better to tie themselves down, just like Odysseus?
What would one expect of human resolve though?
This story is just a tiny fragment, unrelated to the greater war. Nothing more than an insignificant little fragment.

This Event is actually an interesting one, Gascogne which was supposed to be a PR ship was included in the main story. Sovetskaya Rossiya is also mentioned, because their real life counterparts shares a similar fate.
Gascogne was never finished and laid down, Rossiya's construction was also halted and eventually cancelled due to WW1.
Shortly after the Northern Overture event was released, people were mentioning how the game were starting to take on Russian-biased approach. Especially those groundbreaking stats of Tashkent, Chapayev and Rossiya that managed to get them into the meta, I mean goddamnit they were all instantly got into Tier 0! Especially Rossiya's real life counterpart that wasn't even finished, to suddenly be gifted with such an insane stats were just baffling.
Turns out it was all part of the lore, connected with cognitive chips and somehow was also linked to the Wisdom Cubes we're using to gamble against RNGesus.
There is also the black cube shenanigans with Algerie that resembles Bismarck's, they probably got them from Crimson Axis or something. But I'm not interested to those things as of writing this.
And then there's a TL differences between CN and EN version, one side suggest that Jean Bart and Dunkerque as well as the other ships were injured and is being treated by Iron Blood. The other ones however implies that THEIR REMAINS had been TAKEN by Iron Blood, except Dunkerque for some reason, 'her injuries were being treated' is implied from both sources so there's that.
Oh yeah, for those of you who don't know, this event is the sequel of Iris of Light and Dark event. Just throwing that out for you, that rerun we've just had you know? Yeah, that's the one. Might type out another long paragraph to explain them. Oh and also the black cube shenanigans were from Scherzo of Iron and Blood event, we haven't got a rerun for that yet and I haven't got Bismarck from it. So we've got some explanations coming up when the rerun finally comes around.

"Ink-Stained-Steel Sakura" is actually a sequel to the "Visitors Dyed in Red", which I haven't completed yet. But it's on the War Archive, so we got all the time in the world before checking that out.
The premise of this event's story is Nagato trapped herself in a sacred Tree of The Sakura Empire in order to communicate with the ancestor's spirit or something due to the corruption inside Sakura Empire's leading fleet Akagi and Kaga, Zuikaku's gang convinced her guardian Mutsuki and Kawakaze to get her out because the WW2 had broken out and the whole Sakura Empire 'shot first' should've been able to be prevented if only Nagato didn't act like a coward and ran from her duty to lead her people (or ships?).
Stuff happens, Sirens attacked and Nagato was forced awaken due to their misfire. Then Mikasa from Zuikaku's gang challenged Nagato in a small brawl, and her spirit as a battleship regained during. Quite an interesting backstory actually, if only I had typed this post properly but you get the gist of it.
I'd guess from the final dialogue that this event is a prequel to Crimson Echoes, which we'll talk about some other times.
