My all time favorite has got to be Betrayal at House on the Hill. I also suggest watching Wil Wheaton's "Tabletop" over on the geek and sundry youtube channel as it has a bunch of cool people playing a lot of really popular games.

Cluedo is a really fun game to play, but i'd say trying Secret Hitler if you're 7 or above players will be worth your time. It's a fun game to play that's all about deceiving and tricking the others
you can also try Munchkin like Roro Cyr mentioned, its a fun and funny game to play with friends

Super fight, its same kind of play style as cards against humanity, but for people who REALLY like arguing if goku can kick the shit out of superman.

I recently got into Avalon and Coup. They get super interesting once people start getting used to it and figure out ways to fuck with you. Not great for maintaining friendships but fun as hell.

I recommend Red Dragon Inn, very fun to get into and still a growing game. It can get a bit pricey though as each expansion is worth $40. King of Tokyo is also extremely popular in my area.

Ever heard of Castle Panic? It's a game where a bunch of monsters start moving toward your castle at the middle of the board. You are supposed to kill all of the monsters before they destroy you. To kill the monsters, you use some cards, let the monsters move, and then draw more cards. It can be played single or multiplayer and expansion packs are worth it!
