Personally, I voted for Persona 5 I have almost 500 hours on the game I love it.

Yup there's no better game this year but it came out last year in japan so does it even count, but I mean is probably the best rpg ever made

i do think that this is the best persona game i’ve played so far. i really like the story, the visual, and the dungeon also looks very different (it looks better than the other ones, probably because it’s the latest persona game), even the soundtrack sounds really nice. but this is just my opinion^^”

Persona 2 (both of them) still have the best stories (which are of equal importance to gameplay in an RPG) and core concepts. 5 has the best gameplay, but it's story takes a hard nosedive after Sae's palace..
