Looking for Online Strategy Board Gaming Partner (1)

Ugh, titles are hard.

Anyway, what I was wondering, is if there is anyone else out there who is interested in learning and trying out a lot of different strategy kind of games.

Main examples include: Chess, Shogi, Go, Othello/Reversi, but just anything like that that is turn based and could be really interesting. (Like I also briefly looked up the game Pai Sho which they played in Avatar/Legend of Korra, and it actually looked pretty interesting)

I just like the idea of having someone else to figure these games out with, and be my main opponent to play against.
We can contact with things like email or skype, probably not face cam, but I don't mind talking. I'd say that I'd like to play these games irl, but I doubt many people will live near me, or even in the same country as me.

In theory, I would like to get good enough at them that I can understand them on a more professional and competitive level. I don't really plan on aiming to win major tournaments or anything, but just want to get a grasp of a lot of the more in depth kind of strategies and mechanics that these games follow.

I generally will like a lot of games that are turn based and that have interesting mechanics. I don't mind trying other kinds of games too, like trading card games (like Yugioh, Magic, etc.) or even anything that has even a vaguely similar kind of style. Like I hear that competitive pokemon has a lot of interesting mechanics and factors involved in it. On a competitive level, these games don't really feel like games for kids, which I find interesting.

So would anyone be interested in this kind of thing, getting really into these kinds of games?
