I was wonder what everyone thought about VR as a new angle in the game design field. The Oculus Rift never seemed to take off, but with more and more attempts like the Vive, I could see popularity and accessibility rising.
As a potential game designer myself, I was hoping to gauge what the general level of appeal VR games and systems held. What do you all think?

Extra Credits did a video on why the concept of VR in its current form has a large potential for failure. It basically has the same problem the Kinnect had where it wasn't a standard feature of the console and therefore had an extremely limited market. I am probably butchering the idea but I don't think VR is going to take off for a little while yet. It really is gonna be nothing more than a gimmick for a little while.
