Hatred is an upcoming shooter video game developed by Destructive Creations and scheduled for release on June 1st, 2015 on Microsoft Windows. The player-character is a mass-killing man who hates humanity and begins a "genocide crusade" to kill innocent civilians and police officers. The developer described Hatred as a reaction to video game aesthetic trends such as political correctness, politeness, vivid color, and games as art. Its October 2014 announcement trailer was characterized as "controversial" by multiple video game bloggers. The game was shortly removed by the Valve service Steam Greenlight due to its violent content but was later brought back with a personal apology from Gabe Newell. It was then successfully greenlit on December 29, 2014.

I don't know how to react to this game. I personally believe this game needs to be made. It's just like the interview all over again. People are scared of how wrong it is but in reality its game's like these that show society that games could be a hell of a lot worse than what parents or other kinds people consider to be to violent for release. I mean really, Destroy All Humans, which it's sole purpose is it the name, is out there in the world.

>>2 Are you saying that Destroy All Humans is more violent than Hatred? How can you even compare the two? In DAH, you are aggressively researching mankind in a comedic fashion as a parody to the paranoia of the 60's and 70's. You are getting enough DNA and tech to get home. There is rhyme and reason behind the madness.

Hatred does not have anything coming close to that. It literally is "kill everything". No comedic antics, not plot, just murder, no jokes about it. This is not a game.

I disagree. Although you're right when you say that Hatred shouldn't be compared to Destroy all Humans, I think that you're wrong when you say that "This is not a game". Let's be fair here, it's a game which features a decent amount of gameplay mechanics. The levels are challenging and engaging enough, the combat is both difficult and relatively fun and over all you can't really knock the game being a game. However, I believe the theme itself is crude and senseless. H But it's a video game, so I don't really give a fuck. It may be the first game which I had to drop because I didn't feel comfortable playing. But in the end, there are people who can stomach it and who do enjoy it. I think we should left them have their fun.
