Ten years into the future, they create a real life NerveGear. You put in any game from any past system, from Pokemon on the gameboy, to Dragon Age on xbox.
Everything you see in the game looks just like reality. All glitches have been patched and exploits are gone.
But if you lose in the game, just like in SAO, you die in reality.
