There is a new game coming out from British games studio Hello Games, and I'm really surprised that I see so little talk about it.

This game is INFINITE. You drive your spaceship across the galaxy looking for planets to explore - some are uninhabited, some are very inhabited, and some are not too keen on your arrival. When you find an undiscovered planet, you have officially discovered it. Like, your name will forever be on that planet. “Choose whether to share your discoveries with other players. They’re exploring the same vast universe in parallel; perhaps you’ll make your mark on their worlds as well as your own.”

No Man’s Sky is a game about exploration and survival in an infinite procedurally generated galaxy.” INFINITELY. GENERATED. You can play it until the sun turns into a red giant and STILL DISCOVER NEW THINGS.

Please go check out their official site here to watch gameplay, trailers, and learn more about this wicked game!

For more info about the game I seriously recommend looking up No Man's Sky on YouTube for some seriously amazing gameplay footage.

looked promising at the E3 but looking at it now.... the fact that it's "infinite" kind of bugs me, makes me doubt... like are they tryna recreate Spore or something? can they really make it infinite?

It's pretty cool-looking but I'm always a bit suspicious of procedurally generated stuff.

>>1 >>2 The game is NOT infinite. It is one Galaxy. That means it is just so extremely enormous that you cannot hope to explore everything, making it theoretically infinite for you to explore. I mean, the planets ARE the size of the planets and there are 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 planets in total (according to http://blog.eu.playstation.com/2014/08/26/exploring-18446744073709551616-planets-mans-sky/ and http://www.polygon.com/2014/8/19/6045933/its-impossible-to-visit-every-planet-in-no-mans-sky . Also if you want to see the galactic map where the stars with their surrounding planets are shown as orbs of light, this can be seen in the first video of IGN First here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLcjvIQJns0

As far as I have been able to piece out, it will come for the PC as well, so rejoice, we will be getting this highly anticipated game. Truly, it sounds such an amazing idea.

I am so Hyped for this game! We need to have a planet and name it The Dollars, however it would take ages to ever find it as i hear that there are quite a few *cough* 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 *cough* planets and it would take some exploring but heck lets do it!

Been a long time since I perused the games board, and just in time, too. This game hits US tomorrow. Not nearly as hyped as I was when I first heard about it fall 2014, but I am curious to see just how well this title will love to expectations. Preliminary evidence suggests it just might. The soundtrack is just awesome, and the latest gaggle of trailers have sorta gotten my interests piqued again.

Started it yesterday, and it's about as good as I was expecting. Had a lot of fun with it, but ran into a couple issues.
First, I traded ships before leaving the first system. This is before you get the formula for antimatter, and after I already had a warp cell loaded into my first ship's hyperdrive. Couple this with the fact that, for some reason, antimatter wasn't for sale anywhere I went, I was trapped in the first system and had to start a new game.
The second issue was a bug. I pulse jumped my ship into a space station and it got stuck to the station. It couldn't get off of the station regardless what I tried. In the end, I shot the station, triggered the Sentinels, and watched myself die.
Initial frustrations aside, I'm now having fun with this game. Just wish these things hadn't happened...

By the sounds of things, it sounds like it has a lot of potential, but from what I've heard, it seems to have bugs up the wazoo, which is a shame.

I think the games really good. I preordered it but the gift they gave you wit the pre order are kinda a let down. I glitch sometimes but not enough o really bother me. other than that im having alot of fun with the game and the endless landscape is kinda overwhelming but i would refer it to others so you should buy it if your thinking of it.

>>22 there are more problems on the PC with bugs than there are on the PS4, on the PS4 it does crash every now and then but far less than it have been doing on the PC.

you can play for a good few hours before it crashes, but they are working on a fix for the PC and PS4.

Oh I've heard of it! Through Let's Players and what not. There's potential for the game, but the bugs are the problem. Hopefully the fix comes soon!

I was really excited for the pic release but the game wouldn't lunch it just crashed every time I opened it, only to find out five hours after lunch that your graphics card needs to be able to support OpenGL 4.5. I feel that is was a pour job on the developers to release information after the main lunch.

>>26 I am going to guess you have the PC version, not all new games are bug free at launch, especially when you have such a small team of people who worked on "No man's sky" was a team of about 12+ people, so yeah there is bound to be a few bumps in the road so just chill out as they are working to fix it.
