Unpopular Opinions (4)

One thing I love to hear from people is when they have an opinion about games that is considered controversial.
I want this to be a thread where you can confess and discuss your opinions in an orderly manner.

I'll start: I think ORAS and X and Y are the worst pokemon games because the games felt like a cakewalk compared to all other entries, all megas do is lower strategy, fairy type is not needed and the models lack the art direction the sprites did.

No idea if this is a controversial opinion, but I feel like Final Fantasy isn't all it's hyped up to be. Being the story-driven series that it is, I feel like it follows to many popular and predictable tropes and rehashes a recipe we've seen many times before.

>>1 I disagree. Fairy was a definitely a needed balance in order to combat the extremely prominent Dragons, and to increase variety in team builds. Also, the decrease in game difficulty may just be a consequence of Gamefreak's attempt to stimulate the competitive interest, but to each their own.

I totally fucking agree with you on the cakewalk part. EXP.share is op as hell and you don't need to "train" to beat the game; just beat all the trainers in your way. Love your name blank, recently finished that series. I agree with blank's view on fairies, dragon=op. On the flip side, if they're stimulating the competitive interest then they're doing so at the cost of the single player rpg element which is fundamentally the original purpose and feel of the game. Whatever you do postgame is up to you. I beat genII before I could even read so the difficulty was fine.

Bioshock Infinite was a decent game with a nice aesthetic but everything else felt like it was 5 years behind from the way it told the story to the graphics and textures to the sub-par gunplay.
