FF-Online, it's been my dream to play this game ever since I was little. I made a promise to myself that when I'm able to get a job and support playing this game, that I would get it.
Well I've got myself a job and boy do I want to play. The only problem is I've got no friends to play with when I make the account. So, before I make the account and start my journey I thought I'd find some people I can play with.

I just hit lvl50 White Mage on here. So far I haven't been let down yet. Even after you're done with the main story there's somuch to do.SE really knows how to keep a game going x)

Hey, guys :)
So, personally, I absolutely love this game. If you're a hardcore Final Fantasy fan, I think it'd be hard to not like this game :P If you want to know what kind of game it is, you can look up videos on Youtube, but I'll give you a quick summary of playing the game:
The Final Fantasy games don't really have a whole lot to do with each other, so if you haven't played any of the other games it doesn't really matter :P the other games (except FFXI) aren't MMORPGs like this one, so the other ones are pretty different. I recommend trying some out (You can probably find ROMs online of a lot of them :P I've played FFI, II, III, and IV on my computer for free by downloading the ROM).
The game itself is... actually kind of boring in the beginning :P Unless you play with friends and/or enjoy exploring the world of Eorzea with all the other previous FF monsters and stuff you can find, the beginning is pretty much a level grinding fest for a while. I played with a couple of friends up to level 35 on my first class basically and I would just talk with them while doing all of the boring fetch quests and stuff. There are a LOT of fetch quests btw. A lot of the game is in the "end-game" content pretty much such as fighting primals on Hard and Extreme mode which gets you awesome gear and a type of currency that you can use to purchase high item level gear.
Oh! and you're not going to have fun unless you at least try to explore everything the game has to offer :P joining a free company (the games version of a clan or guild made by players themselves) was probably one of the best decisions I made because of all the different people you meet online and stuff.
I'm sorry if this sounds like rambling and nonsense, I'm just typing and not really thinking a whole lot ahead of what I'm typing at the moment XD anyway, I hope I helped a little bit with explaining and whatnot. It's been a while since this this thread has seen any action so i was wondering if any one has played Heavens Ward so far? Did it bring you back to the game or did it make you glad you stayed?

I know they added two new classes and a boat load of new dungeons and even a new level cap.

For Bard for example, you get a skill called Wanderer's Minuet. Basically makes it so you have on average a 1.5sec cast time on all skins and it increases all damage by 30%. Only "downside" is that you can't move while casting. Really though, it's 1.5sec on average, more than enough time to get a skill off and dodge if necessary.

I've been playing FFXIV for nearly 2 years now and I still love it! The story is great (and sad omG ;A;), the leveling doesn't feel grindy, all jobs on one character is lovely and the community is really friendly and nice. I'm also a sucker for FF in general so all those skills representing classic FF abilities and Monsters from old FFs really got me into it. It's a nice game to play casual but also hardcore. There is always a lot of content (every i think 3 months a major patch with bunch of new stuff) and stuff outside dungeons. Random Fates, Triple Triad, Chocobo Racing, Crafting and Gathering and more! I could write a lot more but that could go on and on so if you are looking for a MMO why not try it out!
(Btw you don't need to play the older ones to play this one, story is independent like in most FF Games! Just gives you some nice references if you played them! =D)
