I'm part of The Resistance. I've only been playing a few days, and haven't been able to do much because of school, but I plan to play a bit more during the weekend. I was thinking It would be pretty cool if we could get a Dollars subgroup in The Resistance group going.

The problem with Ingress is that yo I can only you choose one of two sides.

Go for the Resistance! Its much 'cooler' than The Enlightened. All I could say is that I'm part of The Resistance. Its been a blast. just huh.... The World is the Game. A big game of Capture the flag where the historical figures/parks/places you know are the portals and the world is the map. its a GPS based game.
The more you move in the real world, so does you in the digital world. Its extremely fun and addicting BUT be careful.... it drains your battery really fast!

Enlightened is the path for me. my state is regretfully outnumbered by smurfs to the ratio of 10:1. i wish there would be more active frogs to make it a fun competitive area. can't wait for Agis-Nova,we might lose our state but we will bring green all over the world!!!!!

I play with a group here in Tacoma Washington called the South Puget Sound Resistance, awesome people awesome game. A few members of our community are also getting into PokémonGO (trainer name is just BatGoat) which is made by niantic( makers of ingress who used some portals location data from ingress for the pokestips and gyms) as well as the Pokemon company and game freak. Currently Pokémon go is in feild testing but with the Goplus coming by the end of July expect a full release sometime between now and then.
As for Ingress now it's amazing it gets you out and allows you to find those really niche places in your town that you may not have known about or get you traveling and getting alot of people. It's really go at your own pace as people take anywhere from a year to just 3 weeks to get to level 8 status ( which is the cap for functionality, with 9-16 being braging right and a light more power for recharging portal). And depending on your area you can have alot of portal on your side or the opposition, or maybe it could flip daily. Full
