The Dog Fight module(DFM), or Arena Commander, is a section of the the alpha build focused on the most important part of a persistent universe / space simulator: Space Combat!

This is but a small part of Squadron 42, the single player campaign of Star Citizen. Moreover Squadron 42 is only a fraction of the persistent universe that is Star Citizen!

Star Citizen is be one of the big space ship games that will be coming out likely next year or the end of this year, but I my self am waiting on Elite Dangerous :P which my bro has backed and is playing Alpha, which already looking cool.

So, here is the question I have about this game. I have seen gameplay and it looks really good, but so far it looks like all you can do is a wave based survival mode. What other things do they plan to include in the game later on?

Also, it looks like the minimum you can pay to get the game is $30, at least to get access to the Alpha. Does that also get you access to the later versions (Beta, Full release, etc.)?

Just based on the things I have seen so far, it seems like it might be worth paying $30 just for what they have now. There will no doubt be bugs, etc., but so far it looks brilliant.

My cousin's been going nuts over this. I can't say I'm that interested, but it seems pretty ambitious so far. Respect.

I need more people to play this with.
When it becomes multiplayer, if I had 2 or 3 people I could consistently play with, I'd get this in a heartbeat.
