I don't get how this doesn't have its own thread.
THIS GAME IS AMAZING. \
Don't tell me it's a Final Fantasy game either, because this is supposed to be a spiritual successor of The Four Heroes of Light, only to be a separate series.

Bravely Default revolves around four young heroes of Luxendarc: the Wind Vestal Agnès Oblige who finds the Wind Crystal consumed in darkness; a mysterious vagrant named Ringabel with no memory of his past; Edea Lee of the Duchy of Eternia who is sent on a mission to protect the world from a great evil; and a youth named Tiz Arrior who witnesses his brother and his hometown Norende being swallowed up by a Great Chasm. Coming to a week later in the city of Caldisla, Tiz meets Agnès as he comes to Norende Ravine in hope of finding other survivors. However, Agnès is being pursued by the Knights of the Eternian Sky, who have been terrorizing Caldisla. Though Agnès refused his aid at first, Tiz manages to convince her to let him help her in her quest. Soon after, the two are joined by Ringabel and Edea, the latter disgusted with the Sky Knights' dishonorable actions while amazed to find the vestal not to be as evil as she was raised to believed. Taking the Sky Knights' airship Eschalot, meeting the strange Sage Yulyana to get her a vestal garb for the ritual, the group proceed to Ancheim to reach the Wind Crystal and Agnès cleanses it while disproving the propaganda set against her by the city's ruler.

I'll leave only the first part of the plot so you guys can learn the rest.

Honestly, I haven't finished chapter 1 yet and I'm so pumped to continue on with the story. For those of you who hasn't gotten the game but has a 3DS, download the demo too, because it's great to play too.
The battling style, the job opportunities, the art style, the plot, the character development, everything. I haven't played or watched many Final Fantasy games, neither was the same with RPG games (except for several, which was like years ago), but this game, I will want to say, is one of the best games I've ever played so far.
It's totally worth spending $40 on. Totally worth it.
btw, sorry for the crappy description, I just cannot explain the beauty in this game through words. :o

I actually don't have anyone on my friends list who plays this so it kinda made the ending a little less exciting.

and when you get to the last few chapters it's really only about the sidequests untill the final chapter. unless you opt for the false ending.

But I really enjoyed this game..so much I'm now on my 3rd playthrough and still finding new things. It's a real jewel.

Well.... I really love the game, sincerely. The "first part" is super good, nice scenario and all. And then, I kinda got bored by the "second part" which is kinda repetitive (kinda...). As a matter of fact, I have yet to finish it... But I'm trying to motivate myself to do so!

>>4 Finish it, the ending will not disapoint. Especially with the "false" ending.
