S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is a series of first-person shooter survival horror video games developed by Ukrainian video game developer GSC Game World for Microsoft Windows. The games are set in the area surrounding the Chernobyl accident site, called ‘The Zone’, in an alternative reality where a second explosion occurs at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant some time after the first and causes strange changes in the area around it.

The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series is always in "The Zone", and each of the games share a common trait in terms of plot, the story changes depending on the choices that the player makes. For the purpose of efficiently summarizing the plot, this article will assume that the 'optimal' choices were picked during gameplay.

And yes, there was a thread but it really lacked what it was about. A game series like this should be made better than that.

Hrmmm, have heard of it before but never in enough detail to want to play it. Sounds pretty good though, also if it's one of those games where your actions effect the events all the more reason to play. Will deffinitely check it out.
