Hello, I am a HUGE gamer, especially when it comes to computers, and I am in search of a new horror game. I would really like a response in some games that would get me out of boredom >v<

There's a short pc game called 'The Witch's house' that I would recomend. It has a simple storyline (unless you get the true end in which you will be mindblown) it's full of jumpscares and it has a few puzzles. The graphics are not good.http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdmwokXhCc1rlqr3ho1_500.png
This is a spoiler free screen-shot if you want to know what it looks like.
It is worth it and if you do try it. Go to the cupboard near the end.

>>2 You must be some kind of moron because the graphics are fine.

>>1 If you are such a HUGE gamer then you wouldn't be asking for games to play. Google horror indie games or something.

>>3 Most people find new games through reference and suggestion.

Anyway, since >>1 is looking for a PC horror game - I'd suggest Nightmare House, and its sequel Nightmare House 2. They're both very good games, with fascinating story lines to them and a fair amount of psychological horror.

I really appreciate them in particular because a lot of the scary parts of the game aren't thrown in your face. There are a couple cat scares, but the truly horrifying things require attention to detail, and work on a mental level. It aims primarily to creep you out, and then build a rising tension that builds into horror - As opposed to suddenly scaring you out of nowhere for a brief moment.

That atmosphere in particular makes the cat scares that are in it so much more satisfying.

I would suggest you play the game the crooked man. It is a horror game but it is so good! It is very entertaining too. I would also recommend To the moon just in case you don't like the other one. Its not a horror game but the story is so good! It makes me cry every time!

Amnesia: The Dark Descent is an old fall-back. Also Paranormal, Penumbra Series, Anna, Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth, and Dead Space if you scare easy.

>>5 Yes, I understand how it works. I apologize, I was having a terrible morning and vented a little on you without reason.

Anyways, I agree with >>4. Nightmare House is one of my favorites, highly recommend it, though im not sure how easily frightend you are. When I play a scare game I wait till everyone is asleep and all the lights are off. I open up all my windows all the way and turn the brightness a little below of the games recommendation. You should try some of these things, if it seems difficult for you to scare.
