Essentially whats the most out of no where bullshit difficulty spike you have dealt with in a Video game.
mine is the wiegraf fight in final fantasy tactics war of the lions
all of a sudden you get put in a 1 on 1 fight and he just abuses 1 skill over and over, which would be fine if they hadn't made his sword unbreakable in war of the lions, so you cant even disable him like you used to be able to.

Hitoshura/Demi-fiend as bonus boss for Devil Digital Saga
He can easily K.O. you in one turn. Heck, he can K.O. you with a single attack if he feels like doing it. Took me 25 fucking tries to get him down USING Red Star's method
Resuming, it was hell, but was the most satisfying win I ever had as well.

Fighting Serpiroth in Kingdom Hearts 2, he violates the biggest rule of all combat, only once you are in the final phase of a boss battle can the boss perform a move that leaves you with 1% health. It should never occur as the first attack and I have broken 3 controllers trying to beat him.

I'd have to say most water temples in any of the Zelda games. I don't know what it is about them, but you get to a point of "Yeah, I got this game down to a science" right up until you get into the water temple. At the point you're in a state of "WTF am I doing and where is that last blasted hey?!"

for me in recent memory, it was playing F.3.A.R. your in this city i think 4 or 5 missions in. then suddenly ur 1 on 1 with an armoured mech unit in this tiny square room. can't tell u how many times i died on normal. u can almost forget bout playing it on insane

look,when you had to get into that mecha robot right in the beginning of the game, that was a Pain. you couldn't even continue in the story until you had gotten a quick run through of controls, and then all these missles and robots coming at you..

Every boss battle in Dragon Age 2.
The game was all "Have easy enemies. have easy enemies, have a couple of mages mixed in there, GIANT FUCKING DRAGON!" Great game but they could of at least prepared with some semi bosses before chucking out the intense ones.

Dirty ass second form of the final boss in Legaia 2. First time I played him pissed me off so much because his attacks are annoying, he has a ridiculous amount of health, and every attack you make is halved. Either that or the earlier boss fight with Elliot and his ass of a sister.

the next level on any retro 80's game lol jk. The halo 4 campaign was amazing I loved every bit of it except that last promethean level on solo LASO mode. THEY WERE FUCKIN' EVERYWHERE. As if that wasn't enough they teleport every time you see them, you never have ammo, and binary rifles kill you in one shot to the toe!
