Alright, a few things OP:

However, this is where the grey area comes in:
Such images are, for certain, banned. We all know this, as any images of gore or porn are deleted promptly. That said, discussion over it is not, so long as images stay out of it that depict the material in the way just described.

Yes, but there's also threads on Animation over animes that have pornographic scenes/ intense gore (i.e. Gantz, Elfen Lied, ext). Those threads are allowed simply because they're not posting images of the inappropriate material, but because the content itself is discussed.
As proven in the Random board's fetish thread, boobs thread, and so on, discussion is fine, it's the images that are to be excluded. As such, the thread's fine, but still needs to go to the proper sub-board, Virtual Novels.
