Here is the third installment of my "Let's Discuss" series of topics. In this topic, we're going to discuss video games and how they have developed throughout the years, and where you personally see them going in the years to come.

We'll also discuss personal opinions towards how recent gaming companies have taken the direction of series and revamped them into what they would like to see. We're going to discuss how you feel about the directions currently being taken for your favorite series, and why it's either a good idea, bad idea, or a neutral idea.

I Feel that Nintendo has gone far. I mean, they made pokemon, mario, all these great games we know and enjoy. Monster Hunter for the PSP was good, but a little crappy with how it worked. However, Dragon Quest Tower of Mirros i think it was was terrible. Every time you THRUST the wiimote foward, it counted a SLASH, not a STAB.

But oh well.

Video Games have evolved rapidly over the 32 or so years they have existed. They have become complex and very detailed to the point where we are trying to get a new video style instead of pixels to make it run smoother.

All I really want is new games not new consoles, we DONT need new consoles. Think about if they keep evolving.

>>3 'The Elder Scrolls Series' is a perfect example of that. I mean look at the first release (Arena) Then compare it to 'Skyrim' and the advancement is just amazing.
Other series such as the 'Fallout' series and 'Final Fantasy' also embody that kind of moving forwards.

>>5 Thanks. I haven't played earlier version, the earliest is Morrowind for my Elder Scrolls playline. My dad has played almost all of them (from Arena to Daggerfell), but not played Oblivion or Skyrim.

Final Fantasy has come a long way as well.

Another game that has come far is Zelda. Or even Metal Gear Solid.
