Haven't found a thread for this amazing game yet... such a shame.

Ghost Trick - Phantom Detective is an adventure game by the same makers of the Phoenix Wright games. As such, gameplay shares some aspects - half of the time is spent reading text on the screen, while the rest is filled with unique puzzle solving.

Ghost Trick is renowned for its complex, intricate storyline and smooth animations. If you liked the Phoneix Wright games because of their stories, you'll love this game.

The game starts you out dead. Literally. The main character, Sissel, is a departed spirit with the ability to possess and manipulate inanimate objects. He also has the ability to go back into time to prevent people's deaths! He has no memory of who he was or how he died. Throughout the night, he uses his powers to save the lives of many people, learning their stories and how each person is involved in a much bigger picture. But you'll only have until sunrise to find out your story, because at that point you'll cease to exist!

The puzzle portion normally has Sissel either exploring an area or attempting to save someone's life. Using his ability to possess and manipulate, you traverse your way through in a oddly satisfactory Rube Goldberg-like manner, occasionally influencing events in the living world.

Ghost Trick is a wonderful experience altogether; the puzzles keep you entertained, whereas the story won't let you put it down. It's one of my favorite games for the DS, and if you haven't played it yet, you need to.
