Anyways, Pokemon black/white version is set in Unova but all the ice is melted so there's a lot more places to explore. Lots of rare pokemon are now easily availible and Zorua, an unusually hard pokemon to catch in pokemon black/white 1 is now a gift through the story line!!!
The plot is a lot more complex and there's lots of cool scenes to explore with new characters and friends. A new rival, is also added to the game who will appear frequently throughout the story. New gyms and gym designs are also added. The game comes with amazing graphics as well so you can enjoy your game while taking in brathtaking scenery.

Ah man, I'm actually pretty psyched for this game. I have White Version pre-paid for at gamestop, and I also reserved a copy of Black 2 for my little brother. Also, contemplating getting a copy for my friend, and loaning her my DS, because she's been wishing for one for a long time, but unable to get a job. I'm just really hoping this game will be as awesome as the last!

Oh look, they've run out of ideas completely. First they started having trouble coming up with new Pokemon, and now they can't even think up a new name.

From what I've heard the Japanese Game Freak sold out to America. I don't really have a problem with American games, but you can tell Pokèmon's going in a whole new direction, be it good or bad.
Personally I still adore the old games. I think Platinum was the best new one - but I haven't played SS or HG yet, so I can't judge.
But I don't really like the design of B&W. I love the old pixelated scenes; it's what makes it feel authentic to me. That, and I really like the older Pokèmon when compared to the new ones.
Don't get me wrong - I'm not dissing B&W. (Has anyone been the the Pokèmon Centre in Tokyo recently? They have giant Reshiram and Zekroms hanging from the ceiling. Also, the White and Black Kyurem plushies are great.)
It was a good game, definitely. But still not my favourite.
Either way I plan on buying B&W 2, if only out of my devotion to the fandom.

I think a lot of people are giving it undue flak. The thing is, every time a new gen comes out, people immediately look for the not-so-good designs. I mean, we even had some in gen 1 that, honestly, weren't that well designed. 3 blobs, 2 balls, 2 magnets... They just slapped things together, and they still do. The only thing is, we're old enough, now, to catch it, but, we don't want to critique the classics due to the nostalgia they bring.

And I haven't really noticed a change in direction, as far as the games go. It's been pretty consistent, from Red/Blue, all the way to now. What do you mean by that?

Is B&W2 compatible with the old NDS(like my DSi)? Or is it exclusively 3DS?

It's not even for the 3DS. It's a title they're releasing on the regular DS system so that it'll be compatable with both. It'll even work with my good ol' DS Lite.

The game does sound pretty worthwhile...

Another thing I'm really looking forward to is the Pokemon World Tournament. The grinding possibilities in Heart Gold aren't very great, and I was never able to achieve my goal in the original Gold version, but now I'll have the chance to take on not only Red, but 40 gym leaders, and six other Champions. Gonna be epic. Well... make that seven Champions. It uses the wifi connection to access the info on the winner of the real life world championships, and you can fight them too.

I know I'M gonna be at gamestop, the moment the doors open today! ^_^ Oh, also, for those of you with a 3DS, the dream radar app is already up on the eShop (pretty early release, compared to other stuff), so, I'd say, might be a good plan to go catch some stuff in advance for transfer :D

Just got my copy of White 2 two days ago. I'm actually slowing down a bit before taking on the 3rd gym. Why am I doing this, you ask? Quite simple. I've got about ten Pokemon to raise up to catch up to what I have so far. Twelve if you include my Venipede and Grimer that I already caught. All in all it means I have three parties.

I got around to buying it yesterday. I wasn't impressed by it at first since I played the crap out of Pokemon White, but it grew onto me over the few hours I played it for. Now I can't put down my DSi.

I just stick with one version, that way I can have some distinction. I go with the version that has what I like and I get the exclusives from friends. The whole reason behind two versions is having friends who have the other versions so that you and your friends can trade back and forth to get everything, after all.

I started playing the game a bit ago, I been playing pokemon for years since the 1st gen games, the gameplay is starting to get very old for me.
I hated the 4th gen mostly(cept for the remake of G/S) however, when black & white came out, the thing that got me, was the amazing plot, and from what I heard the 2nd one has a even deeper plot then the first, cannot wait to check it out.

Beat Iris with with a level 55, 67, 63, 56, 28, and 30. Only had Pokemon faint seven times. (Aren't revives amazing?)

I beat Iris with All level 57's and elite four. ONly used five revives!!!!

Missed catching the first Pokémon that ends in ion because move concinued to hurt after failed catch; otherwise, I would have caught it. Tripple bounce then fail on the last try. If I would have had one more turn, my second try of a Timer Ball would have caught it.

I really should send over my Battle Box from Black 1. EV trained every Pokemon in there. If Regigigas survives long enough for his effect to wear off, not only will he go first, he will smash your face in, even of the move is not very effective. Should have named him Hulk.

Also, Shedinja with Sturdy and Safeguard = win.

To be totally clear, my main team is as follows:

Gabite (next level up it's a Garchomp)

I just really like fire types. Charizard and Swampert make a wonderful double battle team and I figured on Garchomp over Dragonite for a dragon type. Charizard also doubles as a flying type, too, so it works quite well.

I've also got a backup team which, when I raise it up, will be this:

Scolipede
Walrein
Reniculus
Lucario
Aggron

They're all just awesome.

I decided to add a fight type because it could help me in future situations and an electric type for when I fight the troublesome flying types and water types. I'm also going to add a dragon type when I find one.

Definitely making Shuckle Defense and Deoxys-D SP Defense. (Deoxys-D is surprisingly not Uber.) I would make Regice SP Defense, but that makes both defenders weak to Fighting.

Also making Rayquaza into Latios instead of Dragonite. Latios is the second fastest Dragon-Type (tied with Latias and right behind Arceus-D) with the attack stats higher than defense stats, so I prefer it over Latias for speed.

WHat pokemon do people think is the best?

I could kinda care less about what is the best. When it comes to raw attack and speed my Garchomp (yeah it evolved yesterday) is typically the best in my party that has amazing attack, sp. attack, and speed, but the most well-rounded one is always my Typhlosion. He has an answer to almost everything, really good on pretty much every stat, and is just all-around good. There's a reason he's the one I pick as my "signature" Pokemon.

Stupid PWT making my Pokemon Level 50. If they were their normal level 100, Shuckle wouldn't die and Regigigas would smash everyone's face in after five turns.

Time to reteach Shuckle Gastric Acid. Suppress Regigigas's ability and allow him to smash people's faces in earlier.

Hrm. I went and did the numbers on it using a stat calculator and a damage calculator and there doesn't seem to be a noticeable difference. I won't bore you with the details, because they are boring, but the difference was a fraction of a percent of its HP at best.

Point being, it seems to balance out, in the end . -. and it depends on what you're fighting as well. When I calculated it with ideal conditions (max DEF or ATK EVs and IVs) for both Shuckle and its attacker, they could probably kill it in 2-3 hits.

Let's stop talking about stats though, there's more to Pokemon than that!

Lets talk about everyone's ultimate team then and while we're at it, only judge the pokemon on what they look like and their type. No legendaries either. So basically, if you had a magikarp and a really good pokemon (anything's better than magikarp apart from feebas) but you liked the magikarp better then you would go with the magikarp for your dream team.

I used a magikarp for my soul silver game, just because everyone hates magikarp but I fucking loved it, even before it evolved. I also named it king :P

Well, everyone seems to like to spam big rock type moves on my Charizard and my Luxray is too slow to make a difference. I think I might have to grab myself a Ditto, go to Striaton City, then breed myself a new Shinx to grow up into a hopefully better Luxray. As for the Charizard problem, that's just cause everyone in the game likes to get a trollface and say "LOL CHARIZARD SUX" and it pisses me off.
