Darksiders 2, the anticipated sequel to the 2010 release of Darksiders, has hit the shelves. Here's a quick run-down:

Players take control of Death, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The core gameplay is a hack and slash action-adventure game, with some role-playing game elements. Player have two types of weapons: a primary set of weapons is a pair of scythes and secondary weapons such as axes, hammers, and claws. The addition of various secondary weapons expand upon combat strategy and styles, tailoring them to the player's preference. The player will find abilities in various areas as well as solve puzzles in order to complete dungeons. Once the player has beaten the game, the character items and level can be retained in new game plus mode. The monsters and bosses will also be leveled to accommodate the player.

Darksiders II features a role-playing game style of gameplay. The game world is separated into several realms, each complete with side quests and parts of the main quest. As the player completes quests and engages in combat, the player gains experience. When the experience meter is full, the player will level up and be awarded skill points to be spent on Wrath skills. Darksiders II features a loot system. The player can acquire loot from various chests in the environment or purchase them from shops with gold. The game have an inventory sistem, when the player can save items, dropped from enemies or purchased from chops. The player can explore the open world of Nether Realms on foot or on horse, and have the option of fast-travel too, but the horse travel is limited to some areas, like dungeons.

OmiGehenna my friend and I want to play this game oh so badly! It looks bloody marvelous, it does! Hopefully, it will be just as ace as Darksiders the first. War is my most favourite horseman, but Death is second.
