Dragons Dogma opens above the sea as a rift opens in the sky and a dragon falls our of it. The dragon shortly arrives at a small fishing town called Cassadris. The dragon attacks the village until the hero (you) begins to attack the dragon. The dragon then rips of the hero's heart and flies away. In order to get your heart back, you begin your quest to kill the dragon.
Oh man, I was so pumped up to play this game cuz it looked so much like Monster Hunter. But it just didn't feel like something Capcom would make.. YOU'RE AN ASIAN COMPANY CAPCOM! DON'T HIDE IT!!
I got into it just recently - And have been playing it damn near religiously since. Holy shit.
Anyone have some tips and tricks for it? I actually restarted once already - A sad occurrence, because my second time around I didn't get Eden's Warden from Water God's Altar.
My pawn Arturia no longer has a perma-glowing fiery doom sword.
The ranger's ten-fold arrow. Buy explosive arrows, and if you aim at the weak spot on anything, you can drop that sucker quick. Except black chimeras... Those are the scariest things I've ever fought in this.
I haven't switched my vocation to ranger yet. Started Strider and transitioned directly to Assassin at first chance I got.
I want to eventually switch back to Strider and rank up it's vocation so I can get things like leg and arm strength, etc.
I doubt I can even use the 10x Arrow due to Ranger being restricted to longbow usage when my preferred class is Assassin for the dagger/shortbow combination. Since I have Lycnean Sight, my shortbow actually snipes better than my longbow did... Which is just sexy.
Wait until you get Comet Shot. That'll snipe some people lol. But Ten-Fold Arrow is almost broken. I used almost nothing but that skill for one playthrough.
