I just bought today and i play it twice is a beautiful game. i strongly recommended :)

Got it, played it, loved it! Did you play it online ur first time or disconnected for solo play? I went online and thought it was an amazing experience and felt that I played it the way it was intended, but a lot of reviewers are saying play it disconnected first.

Damn. I keep hearing how fucking awesome this game is and I chose I Am Alive over Journey.... If only I had seen the reviews for I Am Alive..

This is a great game, for the unique experience, music, and online play, but when I bought this it was £10 (Not sure if the price has been reduced.) Personally, I don't think it was worth the money I paid for it, simply because of the length of the game. I completed it in one day, and only had to go back another two times for all the trophies. Like I said, a unique experience, but I wasn't happy with the price. If it had been about £6 or £7 I would be happier with it.

If you get all of the glowing glyphs(glowing box symbol things)in the game, you can go to the level portal area and you will find a big white seaweed type ribbon. Touch it and your ribbon will extend and your cloak will turn white. The white cloak will charge your jump ribbon/bar whenever you touch the ground. it makes things so much easier, and you can even jump/fly on the last stage to some extent where otherwise your cloak would be rendered useless by the cold. I'm not positive but I think that the white cloak also increases the extension of your ribbon for each glyph you get. Also notice that for each time you beat the game a new layer of patterns appears on your characters cloak.

The first time I played Journey it was with my friends, but it was a really lonely experience going through the entire game with a single character, but at the same time I feel like that's how it's supposed to be at first. It was really cool playing with other people and I felt less lonely at the very end, which is the hardest part to go through.

I did NOT notice the new pattern, thanks for pointing that out! So far I've beaten the game myself three times, and each time I make a point to try and find every single scarf piece. Where do you get the white cloak though? I'm not sure what you mean by "level portal area."

This game is simple and elegant. Many things have laid claim to this description, but Journey embodies it. Playing it is such a meditative experience, while also acting as an exercise in cooperation. Highly recommended.
