As a spiritual prequel to ICO, it is also a beautiful minimalist game about a young man named Wander who travels to the Forbidden Land in order to revive a women named Mono. Agreeing to a mysterious entity named Dormin, in exchange in saving her life, Wander must defeat 16 massive beings known as the colossi. Armed with only a bow and sword, he mus travel through the barren peninsula on his faithful steed Agro to kill off the "monsters".
Extremely influential, this game is a wonder of minimalist gameplay with its sorrowful, soulful journey and its exciting gameplay. Settled in the Forbidden Lands, the player will experience the utterly beautiful yet desolate world with no towns, no dungeons with only Agro for companionship. With no enemy to defeat except for the colossi, it has a mixture of puzzle in it as you have to figure out the giants' weak points before attacking. The graphics is sheer beauty with a widely accalimed soudntrack too. Seriously people I would buy the game for the music alone. It has emotional stories despite the limited setting and characters. Play this game people.
I've read about this in game informer, and heard about it from a friend. It seems like a pretty awesome game. If I ever have the chance to get it, I definitely will.
Bump because this game still has amazing graphics when compared to modern engines. Seriously, if you haven't played this already, buy it for $5 at a gamestop or something. It's an old game.
