It's not old D: its one of the best games ever. actually had strategy. you could loe horribly no matter what level you were if you didnt strategize well.

Levelling up was actually a terrible thing to do, since most stats were augmented by equipment. You could hit level cap in Chapter 1 for all it mattered, but your reward would be a curbstomp in every battle you ever went into.

Unless you managed to grab up a good thief and some mediators to 'repurpose' the enemy gear.

I loved FFT, it was probably my second favorite FF ever made - Falling short of FFVI due to sheer nostalgia factor. The bittersweet story, the tactical manuevering, the job system, the customization, it could soak up entire months of your time just playing around with building something specifically to your specifications - Or attempting to play it in different ways.

Then there were the secret extra maps, the hidden recruitable characters, the Deep Dungeon...

Old or not, FFT is easily one of the best games to grace the PSX console - Though I'm not entirely sure about it's remake for the PSP. I miss the engrish spell translations.

Life is short, bury steady sword! Stasis Sword!
