Havent played many but id have to say out of what i have Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology... I think thats the name of it any way. In it it has a mosh of characters from the Tales of Series that can help on your quest to save the world.

Rock Shooter: THE GAME, which is Japan Only at the moment, with a localization in the works somewhere in NIS America, is a pretty good RPG that you don't even need to know any Japanese aside from Yes and No to play. Sure, I'm not certain of what's going on in the plot right now, but it's still an awesome game and I can at least understand where I need to go (Kinda hard not to with a giant freakin' arrow pointing me there...).
Then there's Persona 3 Portable, the Hatsune Miku Project Diva games, Fate/Extra, Fate/Unlimited Codes, BlazBlue, Corpse Party, Gitaroo Man, and Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles. Examine that list and have fun, kids. Those are all some excellent games for the PSP.

The PSP doesn't really have the best game library. There are a few good games but it doesn't really live up the the selection of games the DS had. The only times I use my PSP now is to play ps1 games on the emulator I put on there.

Question about the Persona series for the PSP. Are they all turn based, or some form of turn based gameplay? I've always wanted to play them, but I don't know if I want to get into another turn based game haha

The portions of the game which aren't battling might just tide you over considering the emphasis the game places on activities other then leveling up, grinding, and exploring dungeons.

Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. One of the best(and longest) games ever, now with added characters, a new story mode, and magichange. what's not to like? the fact you can play anywhere is the icing on the cake

Well, RPG wise, I'd say Brave Story: New Traveler is a great game. Its one of my top games :3

People might not know this game well, but my favorite is Phantom Brave: The Hermuda Triangle. The loading times suck, but it's a really fun and especially creative game.
