Recently I finished the Durarara!! series and have come up with the idea of a game for Durarara!!, it will be fighting game that has a story very similar to the story of the series. In two years I will be taking a class to learn to make games and this just came to my mind last night. Although I won't be able to make the actual game for two more years, I thought I might as well think of some art, characters, etc. But before I did that I wanted to see what you guys thought of the idea, I'm hoping you guys agree that this sounds like a good idea. Before I make the game I will also need some employees to help make the game better because, as most of us know probably, a game made by one single person won't be a very good game. I will need voice actors, artists, script writers, and other people of that sort. Also I have already thought of some good combo moves, weapon designs, and other things like that. So tell me what you guys think about this idea.

This sounds like what they're doing with Persona 4. They're making a BlazBlue-style fighting game using P4 and some P3 characters. It works, though, since all of the characters are fighters. With DRRR! though, it may be a bit weird. The only main contenders who could fight one another would be Shizuo, Celty, Izaya, Anri and Simon. There aren't enough characters who are combat-capable in the show and in the end you'd have a small roster of fighters. It's a fun concept to work with, but it wouldn't make a good game.
And btw, I've only seen the show. I have no idea if there are any more combat ready characters in the novels. If there are, tell me.

It'd be awesome to play a BlazBlue-style DRRR!! fighter. Double points for being a crossover fighter with Baccano! characters, since they're in the same universe.
I feel like playing as Shizuo would be cheating, though. How many characters can stop a bus being thrown at them?

Well we could lower Shizuo's strength a tad bit, because I agree that wouldn't be exactly fair.

I'd play it. Some of the characters aren't really battle ready, but that doesn't mean it can't be made to work. (I mean I think they made Phoenix Wright downloadable for Marvel vs Capcom and he's a freaking lawyer.)
I would love to be able to slaughter people as Shizuo or Saika.

Mikado:
Speed - Fast. Strength - Low.
Fights with no weapons. (Punches, kicks, etc.)
Special move - Pulls out cell phone and calls the Dollars. Dollars come and attack the enemy.
Kida:
Speed - Medium. Strength - Medium.
Fights with crowbar.
Special move - Calls the Yellow Scarves, who come and beat up his enemies.
Anri: Speed - Slow. Strength - High.
Fights with Saika.
Special move - Some sword technique. Or maybe possesses the enemy and has them kill themselves. Or maybe like Mikado and Kida and has an army of Saikas?
Izaya:
Speed - Fast. Strength - Low.
Fights with knife.
Special move - For Izaya, it could be anything.
Shizuo:
Speed - Slow. Strength - High.
Fights with no weapon. Punches/kicks/etc. like Mikado.
Special move - Something epic.
Celty:
Speed - Medium. Strength - Medium.
Fights with scythe. Or maybe punches and kicks, with scythe as an option.
Special move - Something involving her bike. Or scythe. Or both.
That's all I can think of for now.
