TBH, Portal 2 pretty much closed itself and didn't set up a stage for a sequel, but I'm just not ready for it to end ;n;

If they don't make a Portal 3, then Valve better make Episode 3 phenomenastical.

Did they specifically announce that they were not going to make Portal 3?

I do suppose Portal 2 ended the main storyline quite well though.

As far as a Portsl 3 is concerned, I could actually see them releasing a third game that stemmed off the ending to the co-op campaign. Maybe even boasting up to four player co-op? I mean, as far as Chell is concerned there won't be another dame, but all of those frozen people may prove promising.

Ah hell, what am I saying? It's no secret that Valve can't count to three anyway.
