3DS is cheaper and if you buy the about 300 dollars vita your gotta have to pay monthly fees(without contract) to use 3G internet but wifi version is free and about 250 dollars. 3DS is 150 dollars about and its a sham. Dont buy either. I just bought a cheap psp pre owned 2000 for 79.99 and it works perfectly! And game stop is selling psp games cheap because they are getting rid of them! But psp is generally like a computer but the games dont end up good except for disgaea 1 and 2 on PSP

I'm considering getting a Vita, but at the same time I have been considering getting a ps3, its a hard choice between the two of them. To be honest I would most likely just be getting Gundam games from Japan to play on them, but I can't choose which one to go for, since I can't be sure which one will end up with the most good ones.

I feel like I want one, but the truth is that I never really used my PSP that much; so I kinda feel like money spent on a PSV is money that could be spent on something that I'd get more use out of.
Oh yeah, and I know that it's not quite the same thing as Vita, but what happened to the PSPGo? I'm assuming that it tanked in retail, because you can't buy them anywhere, but I'd be curious to find out if anyone knows the details about why.

People had many issues with it, due to various reasons such as the price and no UMD discs. PSP GOs are still being sold in NA. However it was a dissapointment, so the Vita was released as the true PSP successor. I didn't have many games for my PSP 2000, but still decided to get the Vita because it seemed really interesting, although still a bit pricy. However, I'm interested in many of it's released/pre-released games, so it's worth it for me.

Got a PS Vita Myself... its pretty worth it... sure theres not much games yet but there are some cool titles like Ragnarok Odyssey (For you MH Fans its pretty much MH too) and then theres Project Diva F..... also Tales of Innocence R and Dynasty Warriors NEXT

One of the best portable systems I've seen yet and some of the games on it are just amazing. MK9, persona 4, jak had collection, uncharted golden abyss, sly cooper, kill zone mercenary, unite 13 and so many more I'd recommend it for anyone looking to get a portable

The PS Vita is definitely one of my favorite gaming systems, it's overlooked by many people in the West though. What excites me the most though, is the fact that the Durarara!! PSP game is being ported to it this year in Japan!

After taking an interest in the Atelier series, I bought the PS Vita a month ago along with Atelier Totori Plus: ~The adventurer of Arland~, since I enjoy JRPGs on portable consoles.
Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd now I'm obsessed.
