Had a thought about this thread, Share your ideas of what would be a great game, or how to make a bad game better!

Well, my idea would be to make a Doctor Who game, it would be an MMORPG, called the "Great Time War". It would be similar to the new Star Wars game, but the plot would explain what happened during the Time War that the Doctor is so vague about. People could choose sides, be it the Time Lords, or Daleks, or even the other Races that were involved.

Well I've slowly been working on a game. An actual game.
Something unique, is what I know I'd like to see in a game.
For an example.
Ultimate Weapons. Each person is given a WEAPON Crystal. The Weapon Crystal transforms into their primary weapon when they choose their class. Each time 5 levels is gained onto that class, the weapon upgrades, and transforms into a higher, better version.

Instead of buying weapons at all, you level your initial, starting weapon up, to obtain a better one.

god dammit. i know I've had some crazy and possibly time consuming, but great game ideas before...but i do not remember any of them yet. this is gonna irritate me. i'll get back to this thread when i can remember one.

My Game would be epic.

you start out somewhere in Tokyo and you are a little boy trapped in the closet. your father is arguing with your mother. cant see them as they are silhouettes. they got divorced. the character narrates you. (the guy from god hand i forgot his voice...)then years later you start out in a saved game where you are the boss of a yakuza gang, somewhat you look like phoenix wright. its then set in a car chase where you have to shoot the bad guys who want revenge. this game will use cel-shading graphics (no more heroes). the soundtrack will have a feeling between Tekken,Jet Set Radio Future and Ridge Racer. the controls will be like Godhand on foot,ridge racer in a car or motorcycle. don't worry you wont ding your car at all. you can switch to gun mode with the select button and choose your weapon. as for the rest of the story you blew them all up. your mission is accomplished and you get your first Xbox 360 or PS3 trophy.
This is a PS3 only game sorry folks. then they have their conversation in Japanese or English to your liking like kingdom hearts. this is a crossover between GTA and Yakuza. watch out for people who want to attack you. this is your kenka bancho moment. (if you haven't heard of that game check it out. its awesome.) if you did it right you get the first knockout. if you don't you get knocked out. also there's blood in this game so its gonna be M. after that you steal whatever he has. cheats will be like GTA. just use your Cell Phone (which happens to look like a Blue SHARP Android phone that rings Lee Chaolan's theme from Tekken.) only when you get calls. and Hiyaah! from Jin's voice for cheat codes. you meet a hot chick who almost stripteases you and wants to call you back. shes also a fighter much like anna (Nina's sister). you save unless you go into the house. your house is a nice fancy apartment. (somewhere the mishima zaibatsu would live.) your Car is a Fast Ridge Racer car(Locked),Chopper Motorcycle or a Street Racer Tuner witch will have Skylines,EVOs and RX-7s. (your choice.) the exhaust pipes on the chopper will look like Shadow the Hedgehog's chopper. (you can upgrade it if you like...) but you start out in a Nissan Skyline BNR33. this is an easy game. no need to choose it to be easier. if you die you
can choose whether how you want to continue with no continue countdown and choose the option you want like in King Of Fighters instead you can choose to make it easier,make your enemies semi-weakened,make yourself have Maximum power or redo that scene. you can change your looks like so. just walk drive or run into a store. there are mini-games for money. same stuff in yakuza. dating,baseball range and Karaoke. plus Dance In the Club. requires really good timing. dance to jet set radio like music. jazz music only plays when your in a house. you can have sex in this game. (moaning in front of your bedroom door only.)
also real weather and time effects. so expect certain places to close and open. you can also do a undercover mode. this requires skill. Cameos will include Jin Kazama,Kazuya Mishima and Bryan Fury cutscenes from tekken as they will talk to you. you can talk to people with X. d-pad up brings up the phone. left is your watch,right is your Inventory and down is to hide it.
you end up beating up more guys if you ran into a gang. your ranking of gang level goes up and if you keep it that way, people will call you boss. pretty cool huh. how the saved game trick is done. you go into the house and then smoke until its saved. then it asks if you want to quit to PS3 menu. frame rate for this game is 60.

this would be one epic game.

pokemon would bleed, and look real, to fly, you hop on a pokemon that knows fly. you pokemon actually know 16 moves instead of four (hold down a different shoulder button to change what different moves the face buttons have,[example:when holding R1 x=SCRATCH B=TACKLE Y=STOMP A=FLY]) you get to design your own character, you start out waking up in your body to go get your pokemon license at the age of ten. you are in first or over the shoulder view and aim where to throw your pokeball (when you dont hold down a shoulder button, the face buttons control your character) instead of a menu or a pip boy you have a pokedex. to heal your pokemon in the pause menu, you have to aim and spray the potion on your pokemons wound. when you walk in tall grass you actually see the pokemon running around, when one approaches you, you can throw out your pokemon or, you can try to run away but if the pokemon is faster than your first pokemon in ur party then it will corner you. if you try to wait it out it will attack you and diminish your characters health.

MAPS
this way all of the maps from all of the riegions can fit in one game, with every single gym leader from every region. the first reigion will follow kanto's setup, from there you pick your direction. you can try to fly to cities where you havent been but the pokemon will be higher levels than you and try to kill you in the air,

FLYING
you can use your pokemons moves while you ride on its back
you can try to fly to cities where you havent been to but the pokemon in the air will be higher levels than you and try to kill you in the air. since gyarados is water and flying type, if you get it to a high enough number of stats then it will actually be able to fly. surfing works the same way with water type pokemon

STORYLINE
somewhere early in the story you will encounter team rocket, from there you can pick to join them or not, then later on, other teams such as team galactica, aqua, magma etc will appear and you can also join them too if you want to, and eventually work your way up the chain to leader of the team, then leader of the pokemon world. if i didnt mention this before, the first region will closely follow the anime series if you chose not to join team rocket, other than that, the other regions will more closely follow your own storyline which you have warped in the first region, but characters will still present themselves to you original to the region which they were related to in the anime series, ie: misty and brock show up in the first region, then if you went to hoenn next, the sidekicks from hoenn would meet you and also ask to join your team or be your friend, which from there you can add their contact into your pokedex/pokegear, tell them wether or not to follow you, have practice battles, help on quests, etc.

RANDOM
if you get a team of 6 pokemon, one from every region, and carry and raise them up to lv. 100, you unlock different graphics modes of the game like anime mode, pixel mode, black and white manga mode, fallout mode, skyrim mode, etc.

BATTLE
you first throw your pokemon out, your character is then controlled by A.I. just to move out of the way or holds still etc. you now control your pokemon, camera is centered on opponent, right stick makes your pokemon dodge roll left stick strafes/ moves pokemon. face buttons without holding shoulder buttons are to use commonly used items. on the bottom right of the screen the face buttons are displayed with text showing what they will currently do. hold down different shoulder buttons to change the face buttons in order to use sets of attacks, allowing the use of up to 16 attacks, until your pokemon reaches lv 100, then you can hold down 2 or 3 shoulder buttons at a time to have even more attacks (too lazy do do all the math) ie: SHOULDER BUTTONS=R1+R2+L1 brings up its own set of attacks compared to SHOULDER BUTTONS=R1+R2 or even R1+L2 etc. etc. etc.
by the way i meant to mention the battles are not turn based,
stat changing attacks (to either you or your opponent) will take extra time, leaving your pokemon vulnerable to attack, actually your pokemon is always vulnerable unless guarding.
click right stick to guard, guard strength is determined by defense stat, how quickly guard is brought up is determined by agility stat

STATS
ATTACK-determines strength of attacks
SP.ATTACK-determines strength of special attacks
DEFENSE- determines how much damage you take without guarding
GUARD DEFENSE- determines how much damage you take while guarding
SP DEFENSE- determines how much damage you take from special attacks
GUARD SP DEFENSE- determines how much damage you take from special attacks while guarding
AGILITY- determines how quickly you attack, repeat attacks, guard, and dodge
SPEED- determines how fast you strafe/walk and proportionally effects the powers of agility ie: speed=50&agility=100, you will strafe slow but attack and guard quickly, BUT speed=100&agility=15, the speed will slightly affect the agility stat, you can run around fast and your guarding and attacking is slightly boosted by the speed stat, in reality if they were unassociated with eachother, it would be like making your agility stat=20.
HEALTH POINTS-determines your ammont of damage you can take, is assisted by the four defense stats.
INTELLEGENCE, DETERMINATION-determines how well your pokemon obeys you, and how quickly recovers from taking heavy hits or serious damage.

FISHING

you equip fishing rod, aim it, then hold R1, pull controler back (or hold vertically) and swing the controller while releasing r1. now that i think of it, pokeball throwing should work the same way, so now it does.

my idea was having different mechs fighting, but it work be like Gundam fighting style, but you can use your specials. i has going to have alot of different universe coming to together. then i found out that there was a game like that. it was Super Robot Wars

There is a Mech fighting game for the PS1 and up. I forgot the name, but you configure your mech up, and fight the AI, or a second player. It's an old series.

I would love to make the sequel to Chromehounds. A team tactical based mecha game where you can build your own war machine from the ground up (similar to Chromehounds). I would broaden the horizons on the multiplayer/cooperative experience to allow a team of up to 12 people to take on either 12 AI or 12 other players in defend the base/elimination game modes. Allow the Squad system from the first game where you can make a team of people(sort of like a clan) and take them to nearly countless venues of combat.

God, I miss Chromehounds.

Nintendo owns the rights to Pokemon. they would never allow it to be ported over to another console, and i'm almost positive that the wii (and possibly wiiU) would not be able to handle what you are suggesting. long story short, if you ever want to see anything liek this, things are going to have to change.

I thought of one where your whole life is the game. I saw this one app for the iPhone where you attached a plastic gun to your iPhone and blasted aliens that were around you that you can see through the camera. What if there was a game where you could do the same thing, only with better depth and like 100 times better graphics? The game would take advantage of GPS navigation and 4G wireless internet connection (the same thing that's used with smartphones and the PSP Vita). The game would revolve around your own environment through the device's HD camera with game objects and avatars inserted into the picture.

The story line should have something to do with traveling in real life to real locations, such as the McD's next door or your own school to fulfill missions. It would get people up off the couch and active.
