Resident Evil 6 has just been announced and looks like it will be going back to its roots. No not the tank controls and top down camera, but with the fact we have ZOMBIES and other B.O.W.S. That's right not Las Plagas, but Zombies. Did I mention its Chris and Leon.

Story (What Is Known So Far)
"It has been ten years since the Raccoon City incident and the President of the United States has decided to reveal the truth behind what took place in the belief that it will curb the current resurgence in bioterrorist activity. Due to be by the President's side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world's population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left."

Chris and Leon will have partners (currently unnamed) but will be like the partners in Resident Evil Revelations.
Ada Wong will have a playable role.
An unnamed character will also have a playable role who is a new character.
Each characters story can be played and completed on their own.
Stories will lap over and connect.
Takes place around the world.
Same development team as Resident Evil 4.
Will focus more on horror but not lose the action altogether.

*sigh* Oh joy, another Resident Evil game I have to buy this year. I think they spaced this out perfectly with the release of Operation: Raccoon City.

Though I'm pretty psyched to see Leon get another game. Can't get enough of him.

Non-Linear storyline, I suppose

I watched this yesterday when they announced it, and here was my order of reactions:

Oh cool, Leon's in another one, RE2 and RE4 were amazing, we're off to a good start...

OK, shit just went down with the president, that's cool...OH SWEET this one looks like they're going for the horror ambiance they had in 4...

Chris is in this one too? God they're pulling out to stops to get people to play this one....

Oh, Chris is more of an action character and what i saw of Leon makes me think he's more horror...makes sense, i guess, appease both sides. I'm ok, with this.

Did he just dive for cover while being shot at by some people? god dammit...well at least we still have Leon...

Who's this third guy? he's immune to the virus? and why does that blonde chick look and sound like Ashley to me? and third guy also looks like action.......

Would be great if they had profiles of all the characters from the game series that you could unlock, which would include a "Where are they now" type of thing, I'm curious to know where Rebecca, Ashley, Barry, Carlos, Sherry, Clair, Billy, and Ada are during these events.... And Wesker Better not be in this one! That would be jumping the shark.

I Was kinda dissapointed, not really liking the direction the series is going

As for the "clones" I think you are talking about the "Wesker Children Project" which none of them where clones, they where all kids that they obtained through various means that should potential as test subjects. All of them died but two Albert and Alex. Anyone who has played RE5 knows what happened with Albert and Alex has yet to be shown, although there is theory going on that the new character you see in the trailer may be Alex.

Another theory also says Hunk may be Alex which would explain why Hunk is so good a surviving, and that that same character in the trailer is Hunk without his mask on. Remember Hunk is a codename and it is possible and if you look at RE3's Hunk Epilogue they do look similar, you would just have to age the guy ten years.

Oh my god... I think that WAS Ashley. Haha, I guess they would have to put her in it cuz, well, her father is the president. Hopefully she gets to be a little more badass this time around. As for the game, it looks pretty sweet. I'm gonna buy it.
